We are almost half ways through this year and it is only getting harder and harder. So far the only class that I am not on pace for is AP Spanish Lit. It’s not really hard but there is a lot of work and it’s just overwhelming. Over Thanksgiving break I plan to catch up on all the work so I could be on pace 7/7. For all my other classes I feel pretty confident. Almost done with this semester so I will have Government out of the way and start with Economics. I enjoy dealing with money and numbers so I am excited for that class. This year I also have chemistry and I am trying really hard to stay on pace because I heard it is hard to catch up once you fall behind.
Another really important thing that has happened recently is that we filled out college applications. It took a while for me to get everything settled but I now have all my application submitted. Just like everyone else I am terrified to receive a letter or an email that says I wasn’t accepted but I am staying optimistic. Hopefully my grades and all the extra curricular activities I have done are enough to get in.
This year and last year I was involved with a lot of activities some including the very first annual Oktoberfest, first rivalry breakfast with Strathmore and the one that I am most proud of, becoming the school board representative. Twice a month I meet with the Lindsay Board and give a report about the events and sports going on at Lindsay High School. It’s really helped me with me speaking and presenting. I now feel more comfortable when talking in front of people.
