At the beginning of my junior year I found out about this club thanks to my accounting teacher Mrs.Caballero. She's the advisor for FBLA and was the one who enrolled me into the club. I had some of my other friends sign up with me which made the experience even better. Going and competing with other students from different schools was very fun! At first I thought FBLA, which stands for Future Business Leaders of America, was just going to be about studying and testing but it was much more. I am glad I gave it a chance and joined because it was an awesome experience!
This year I was able to be the school board represenative. Twice a month I meet with the board to give them an update of the current events and sports at Lindsay High. This had really helped me with my speaking skills. I am now able to speak infront of a crowd without being so scared. I think this was a great opportunity that really helped me improve my skills.
ASB is one of the best clubs on campus. This is my first year as a member and an officer. We organize rallies, homecoming, prom and lots of other school events. Our advisor Mrs.Gonzales is a great leader and has helped all of the ASB members become a better leader. I made a lot of new friends and meet so many other learners thanks to this club. I love helping in making posters to promote our school events, ASB really makes me feel useful!
Spanish Honor Society is a great culb that helps embrace the spanish culture. We participated in a lot of school activites selling aguas frescas and volunteering in the community. If we have a 3.5 or higher we get honor cords to sybolize our membership in the culb.
